Turbine Inlet Cooling: An Excellent Pathway for Maximizing the Decarbonization Potential of Electric Grid with CHP and Cogeneration Systems
Combined heat and power (CHP) and cogeneration systems are well known as the most energy efficient for the simultaneous production of electricity and thermal energy. Maximizing the annual output of such systems is excellent for maximizing the decarbonization of the electric grid and the plant site. These systems minimize the grid-wide operation of less energy-efficient electric power generation systems and the need to operate conventional thermal energy systems at the plant location.
