MCA Policy Alert: The Illinois DCEO has issued the first component of its Illinois Energy Roadmap – the Goals Status Report – and will hold stakeholder meetings next week. See link to the Report and an invitation to attend the stakeholder meetings below.

The Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity invites you to participate in the stakeholder engagement phase of our Illinois Energy Roadmap Project.  The project is a partnership between U.S. Department of Energy, the Department of Commerce, the Illinois Commerce Commission, the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, the Illinois Pollution Control Board, and the Illinois Power Agency to analyze how the state can maximize the economic and job creating benefits that can be gained from energy efficiency and renewable energy.

We encourage all stakeholders to review our recently released Goals Status Report which provides an overview of Illinois’ energy-related policies, and a preliminary evaluation of how those policies may perform in the future.   Specifically, we are interested in your ideas concerning how Illinois can improve and enhance the deployment of energy efficiency and renewable energy within the state.  The Goals Status Report can be found at: https://sites.google.com/site/illinoisenergyroadmap/documents-and-comments
